no. you’re not the only person in the world who has dueling voices in your head.

and now i know i’m not the only person in the world who spends time thinking about my life with mathematical imagery. although my words never come out quite as beautifully as yours do.

I disliked “american gangster” too. i was lost at burning a man in a chair and then later shooting someone in the forehead in broad daylight. I understand the message of such things, but the currency of horror is one I wish to deal in less and less.
and for the record, the jay-z album that was inspired by the movie was equally mediocre. there were a couple catchy tunes and good lines, but mostly it felt like he was burning his creativity, his real purpose, in a chair.
